Holding down 'c' will make the Dakotaraptor sleep for eight hours. Your Dakotaraptor will plop on the ground and regain stamina. Green particles mean herbivore and yellow means carnivore- the bigger the particles, the bigger the animal. Lizards and poison lizards will be highlighted in blue. This can be used to save and quit the game, change options, or give you time to pull out your camera to take a picture of what is on screen. This slowly drains stamina and makes the dinosaur slightly more difficult to control. Shift allows for your dakotaraptor to run.

This is also used as a hatchling and juvenile to glide down from trees without the cost of stamina. This allows for you to climb a tree as a hatchling and juvenile, and allows you to leap on your prey once you're bigger! This drains stamina significantly, so make sure you take that into consideration. Right click allows for balance while perched on prey. The Dakotaraptor's head turns towards food, so use that to help you catch lizards if you mess up! This is also how you eat when standing over a corpse, or drinking water when you've got at least a toe in the water. Left click for a bite when idling, or near food. Note that the keys are locked in to which way you're facing- if you are looking behind your dinosaur and press 'w', it will quickly turn to head in that direction. Moving the mouse will change the direction the Dakotaraptor is facing. It'll be in layman's terms so no need to be questioning what a Pachycephalosaurus is off the top of your head. Saurian is a game in pre-alpha so this stuff can get outdated really quick.Īnyways I've been binge-playing Saurian lately and I've mostly forgotten How to Not Die in Nine Minutes so here's a guide both for me and anyone curious.
